I received my Masters in Applied History with an emphasis in History & New Media from George Mason University and the Center for History and New Media (CHNM) in May 2011. I am trained in HTML, CSS, and web design for historical scholarship.

I am a reference archivist in Archival Electronic Records Operations (AERO), formerly the Electronic and Special Media Records Services Division (NWME), of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). I have been a member of the reference staff since March of 2010 and am currently training under the Archival Development Program (ADP). My focus at NARA is on electronic records access, but I have some experience with processing electronic records as well.

As a trainee under NARA's Archival Development Program, I have completed rotations with the Center for Legislative Archives and the Library of Congress's Manuscript Division. While at the Center for Legislative Archives, I worked with their staff as they began the process of rolling out the Congressional Instance of the Electronic Records Archives (ERA). During my rotation with the Library of Congress, I researched and submitted a report titled, An Overview of Electronic Mail Processing, Preservation, and Access that provided an introduction to email, the issues, challenges, and questions concerning processing and preservation, an overview of major email archiving projects, a summary of useful processing tools, a glossary of select key terms, and a bibliography.

In addition, I interned for approximately a year for the Smithsonian Institution Archives, Digital Services Division. As an intern, I worked primarily with migrating analog media (photographs, audio, and some video) to a digital format.
