A couple of topics came up at iPRES 2012 that I thought CURATEcamp could contribute to. One is funding fragmentation and another is the tendency to start new development to solve a particular problem rather than adaptively re-using existing software. I blogged[1] about the problem as it pertains to digital preservation soon after iPRES 2012.

What if CURATEcamp focused on a particular set of user stories or a workflow and organized a hackfest to integrate existing tools to meet the users' needs? In conjunction with the hackfest, what if funders who contributed to tools creation were invited to see what investment in integrating resources could do to support a given community?
