I am a writer/editor at the National Archives in the Public Affairs Office. I manage the blog Pieces of History where we post documents and photographs from our holdings to tell the story of the American people, as well as advertise current programs and exhibits at the National Archives. I also manage the main National Archives Facebook page and our main Twitter account @usnatarchives.

I write and edit for our various internal communications and print pieces at the National Archives, and I am on the Plain Language committee.

Before coming to the National Archives, I worked at Dumbarton Oaks in their publications office, where I edited and proofread scholarly books. I also worked on the overhaul of their website, and I was the managing editor of the annual report.

Both Dumbarton Oaks and the National Archives have fascinating collections and wonderful images to draw on. I enjoy helping historians present their work to the general public, and I love sharing the work that archivists do with the public as well.

I hold a master's degree in Medieval Studies from the University of York in England, and I earned my BA from the Johns Hopkins University in Maryland.
