Sue is the Digital Conservator at the City of Vancouver Archives, Vancouver, B.C. She is responsible for preservation and conservation of the Archives' varied holdings, which involves hands-on treatment as well as preservation management. She is also responsible for the Archives' digitization program, reformatting film, analogue video, audio, text, maps and photographs, and migrating digital videotape. She contributes to the Archives' social media and other outreach activities. She has a Master of Art Conservation from Queen's.

She was a member of the team that developed the Archives' digital archives system, which included work on early releases of Archivematica. She has published on the Archives' economical frozen storage unit for film. Sue taught Preservation at UBC's School of Library, Archival and Information Studies for many years.
